Court Farm Garden CentreFor those of you that have shopped with us before you will know that we were called Garden Care Supplies but have recently changed to Court Farm Garden Centre. This is because we have always felt that our old name explained what we did rather well but was a bit of a mouthful so it was decided to think of a new name. After alot of research of the local area and Old Kingston Road our managing director discovered that the current site was originally farmland before it was retained by the local authority. In the late 60's the local authority converted the site into the borough nursery providing bedding plants for the Royal Borough of Kingston. On futher investigation it was discovered that the cottages at the end of Old Kingston road were called 'Court Farm Cottages' and in the field across the road from them was the original Court Farm Farm House. This is way the local nature reserve situated between the main Kingston Road and Jubilee Way is called Court farm Field Nature reserve. We therefore concluded that the only true reflection for our site should be 'Court Farm Garden Centre' A new name for us but not a new name in the area. We are not a supermarket. We offer horticultural knowledge and services geared to offer value for money without the unecessary frills. Our Garden centre offers the most comprehensive range of trees, shrubs and bedding plants.
